We Did It! State House Passes HOUSING TRUST FUND (H.B. 639)
The State House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed legislation sponsored by Representative John Taylor to authorize the City of Philadelphia to increase funding for the Philadelphia Housing Trust Fund. The bill has been referred to the Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committee.
Successful passage of the legislation is crucial to mitigate cuts TO federal and state funding the City receives to address local housing needs. City Council has already approved an ordinance contingent on passage of the state legislation that is expected to generate an additional $4 million each year for the Housing Trust Fund.
PACDC thanks everyone who reached out to educate their State Representatives on this issue.
