WCRP Awarded USDA Grant
In August, Women’s Community Revitalization Project (WCRP) was awarded a three-year grant of $269,317 from the United States Department of Agriculture. This funding will be used to start up a range of food access projects in Eastern North Philadelphia including a buying club, health corner store initiative, and farmer’s market. Partners include the Food Trust, SHARE, Common Market, and University of Pennsylvania School of Design. WCRP will also continue to operate a Farm-to-Families site funded by St. Christopher’s Foundation for Children.
