Stormwater Management Incentives Program Grant Opportunity
The City of
Uses of funds is restricted to grants which support the design and construction of stormwater mitigation measures. These may include, but are not limited to: detention and retention basins, tree trenches, green roofs, porous paving and rain gardens
Only non-residential properties are eligible for SMIP grant funds. Applicants must be owners of the property or have permission from the property owner(s). The applicant cannot be an agency with the City of
The SMIP Grant Program will follow an RFP process rather than the rolling application process that is used for the Loan Program. The Philadelphia Water Department will be solely responsible for determining which applicants receive SMIP awards. Some applicants may receive SMIP grants while others may receive a combination of SMIP grants and loans. Still others may only receive a SMIP loan.
Applications must be submitted electronically by March 31, 2012. Grant application materials are posted on PIDC's website at: http://www.pidc-pa.org/development-and-contract-opportunties/rfp-rfq-opportunities which includes instructions on how to send in the completed application, which materials are needed prior to submission, and in which formats they should be transmitted.
