Sodexo Offering Funds for Service Learning Programs on Childhood Hunger

Youth Service America: Sodexo Grant Programs
Youth Service America (YSA) is currently offering two grant opportunities to help engage youth throughout the U.S. in the issue of childhood hunger. YSA’s Sodexo School Engagement Grants support programs that involve teachers and students, grades K-12, in learning about the incidence of childhood hunger in their communities, and in leading activities that facilitate access to nutritious food for all children, especially those most at risk. Grants of $5,000 are provided to incorporate these service-learning programs into a Semester of Service framework. The application deadline is August 15, 2011. Sodexo Youth Grants of $500 support youth-led service projects that address the issue of childhood hunger during National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week this November.
