PACDC’s activities have culminated in more than $140 million in new resources for affordable housing and neighborhood economic development efforts.
Is this Lobbying?
PACDC’S perspective was represented in the revised lobbying regulations issued by the Board of Ethics on September 21st. The revised regs have a much more reasonable definition of lobbying that will not count routine administrative interactions with City agencies as lobbying if they are not seeking to influence policy. In addition, the annual registration fee was reduced from $500 to $100, and the reporting requirements were streamlined. The Board of Ethics plans to do training on the new regulations, which are expected to go into effect later this calendar year.
