Summary
Manage and coordinate all aspects of the company’s Mainstream Supportive Housing Program for Persons with Disabilities, (a HUD Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program). Manage, assist and coordinate all phases of the tenant annual recertification process performed by the company’s Recertification Department. Perform related responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Compliance.
Job Functions
- Review ongoing program regulation changes and assist in the revision of appropriate agency policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing and administering departmental budgets and contracts; evaluate and recommend staffing needs, equipment, materials and supplies.
- Perform all tenant recertifications required by the Housing Choice Voucher program.
- Coordinate all initial and annual housing quality standard (HQS) inspections for program participants. Perform annual Housing Quality Control inspections.
- Prepare and submit all HUD electronic submissions, monthly and annually, as required by the Housing Choice Voucher program.
- Responsible for all reporting associated with the Mainstream HCV program.
- Supervise and assist Compliance personnel performing all phases of the tenant annual recertification process.
- Ensure that tenants requiring recertification on an annual basis are identified and that Property Management staff are notified of upcoming recertifications to facilitate the scheduling of annual unit inspections and ensure that those tenants are notified.
Educational and/or Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma with six (6) years of experience in a job related to property management with exposure to Section 8 tenants.
- Must have or be willing to be an HQS certified inspector.
