City Planning Commission Extends Schedule for Release of Comprehensive Plan
The Philadelphia City Planning Commission is extending the schedule for the release of the Citywide Vision component of "Philadelphia2035:
The Comprehensive Plan." The schedule is being extended to incorporate comments received from citizens, community associations, and other stakeholder groups, as part of the public review process over the past several months, as well as to allow additional time for public review of the final draft document.
As a result, at the regularly scheduled, Tuesday, May 17th meeting of the City Planning Commission (1515 Arch Street, 18th Floor Conference Room, 1:00 p.m.), the final draft of the Citywide Vision will be presented "for information only." The final draft will also be posted at <www.phila2035.org> on May 17th for public review.
On Tuesday evening, June 7th, a Special Meeting of the City Planning Commission will consider action on the Citywide Vision. This meeting will be held at the Moore College of Art & Design, 20th and Race Streets, beginning at 6:00 p.m. At this meeting, the Commission will also kick-off the District Plan process and honor the graduates of the Spring 2011 classes of the Citizens Planning Institute.
Summaries of the Citywide Vision will be available at the June 7th meeting. The full Citywide Vision document will also be posted on the website at that time. Please continue to check www.phila2035.org for news and updates.
