Annual Appeal

Philadelphia's neighborhoods need your support!

Community development corporations (CDCs) both large and small are the anchor institutions working tirelessly to sustain neighborhoods and their residents. Through a range of housing, conomic development, and social programs they play vital roles in building strong communities. With rising foreclosures and unemployment, however, they cannot manage this growing challenge alone. As the city-wide association of CDCs, PACDC brings ours members together to create a stronger voice, promote systemic change, and to enhance their critical work. You too, can be a part of this exciting partnership by providing a generous contribution to PACDC.

PACDC's efforts have resulted in more than $130 million in new resources for CDCs. Coupled with policy changes and the key alliances we have built, our work has created a critical base from which to build long-term support for vibrant and diverse neighborhoods. Here are a few key highlights of the work we accomplished during the last year: Philadelphia Housing Trust Fund: PACDC continues to play an instrumental role in shaping the strategic direction of the Housing Trust Fund, including working to expand dedicated funding by approximately $4 million per year, the launch of the new Targeted Housing Preservation Program, and the allocation of resources to preserve existing affordable rental housing. These new efforts diversify even further the many ways that the Housing Trust Fund meets the needs of our City's most vulnerable residents and neighborhoods.

o date, the Housing Trust Fund has raised over $53 million to expand local housing opportunities for more than 4,000 families.CDC Tax Credit Program: We partnered with Councilman Goode to expand and improve the Philadelphia CDC Tax Credit Program, which is providing $30 million in flexible funding support to 30 CDCs over ten years to strengthen neighborhood shopping districts, create jobs and support other economic development activities.Vacant & Abandoned Property Reuse: We are working with local officials and our partners to implement solutions to streamline the City's process for acquiring and disposing of vacant and abandoned properties, and to stabilize neighborhoods where these tens of thousands of properties are located.

With encouragement from individuals like you, PACDC gets results. Please join us as we build long-term support to promote and safeguard thriving neighborhoods across Philadelphia by donating today.   See below donation button for an easy and safe way to donate via the internet.
